Dragon Sport News, E-Magazine (DSN) follows in the footsteps of Dragon Boat World International (DBWI), the well received former professionally produced, independent, world-wide magazine for the sport of Dragon Boating, published by Henning Wiekhorst, the owner of Creative Dragon Works (CDW).
Henning ceased publishing DBWI, as a hard copy magazine in 2011, this left a “magazine vacuum” in the dragon boating community, so in 2016, as a way of filling that gap, Mike MacKeddie-Haslam and Leila Ataei, started Dragon Sport News, as an e-magazine, with a companion face book page.
In March 2018, after discussions with Henning, a new partnership was established to publish DSN as a professionally produced Independent E-Magazine. In short, Creative Dragon Works is back and from April 2018 Dragon Sport News will appear in a re-vamped format, following closely the design of the former DBWI .
DSN, as an independent magazine, is not only for the paddlers. Without boats, paddles, life-vests, the right sports-wear, sport merchandize etc, etc, Dragon Boat Sport would cease to exist. On the other hand, a manufacturer or seller of boats, paddles and related Dragon Boating products, needs ways of letting people know from whom to obtain which product.
Event organizers need to promote their events and spread the news to the community so people can enter and compete. A proven way to reach people is to promote in a visual way ! - Well, for Dragon Boating that is Dragon Sport News.
As an E-Magazine DSN is directly emailed to over 2000 addresses covering, federations, clubs, teams and paddlers world-wide in over 90 countries. In addition, DSN can be downloaded from the DSN Face Book page and most importantly, from early May 2018, DSN will be available from the re-launched, Dragon Boat Net, website, previously the most visited website for the sport !
Dragon Boat Net will not only be the internet-home of DSN, but will also link up with the DSN-Facebook site and the still existing YouTube-Channel of Dragon Boat World Television. Together this combined media platform will offer you a marketing and advertising opportunity to successfully promote and advertise your products once again to the world of Dragon Boating, with an estimated 50 million participants across the globe.
